Two Programs, One Progression

From Abacus to Vedic Maths

At Apollo, mental-maths training isn't a one-off activity — it's a progression that follows a student through their years on campus. Younger students in the Primary Wing begin with Abacus, building concentration and mental arithmetic through structured, hands-on practice. As students move into High School, they take up Vedic Maths, a set of faster calculation methods that make maths less daunting and build lasting number confidence.

Both programs share the same underlying goal: helping students calculate quickly and reliably without leaning on a calculator, a skill that pays off well beyond the maths classroom.

Abacus (Class 1–5)

Part of the Primary Wing curriculum, Abacus sharpens concentration and mental arithmetic from the earliest primary years through engaging, hands-on activities.

Vedic Maths (Class 6–9)

In High School, students move on to Vedic Maths — faster, more efficient calculation methods that make maths less daunting and build genuine number confidence.

Mental Arithmetic

Both programs train students to calculate quickly and accurately without relying on a calculator, a skill that carries over into every other subject.

Builds Exam Confidence

Faster, more reliable calculation directly supports the structured exam preparation students go through in the High School wing.
